In his last known epistle, Apostle Paul, the extraordinary missionary to the Gentiles, left a poignant reflection on the most important matters in life. As we read and meditate on 2 Timothy, we are challenged to think about the direction and destiny of our own lives.

Are we in the Story of Jesus or are we in the many faulty and futile stories of the world? Are we being useful to the King of kings or are we wasting our lives in something transient and puny when measured against eternity? These questions and more come to us from Paul’s epistle and have to be answered in each of our hearts.
